English language is globally dominant in the 21st century. Saudi Arabia is one of those countries that allocate about 25% of its annual budget expenditure towards education and human resources. Therefore, the kingdom is potentially adaptive to the holistic approach in terms of reforming the quality of education. However, the education’s ministries have been emerged Ministry of Education and higher education ministry to constitute a formality and systemicity for the Education. Accordingly, expansion in higher education went swiftly in Saudia by increasing the public university from 8 to 25 solely between 2003- 2014.
English language revolutionizes sundry aspects of life: science, technology, economy and so forth. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia works broadly to implement English language as a mandatory language due to the rapid demands globally and locally to fulfill its requirements. Local English providers has the incentives to support teaching English even from early years in schools.
There are nine objectives have been tackled in teaching English as follows:
• language skills ( listening, speaking, reading and writing)
• linguistic knowledge
• linguistic competence for professional use
• establish positive attitudes towards English
• recognize the importance of an international English
• use English to help students understand their society
• participating in diffusing Islam and representing their country properly
• make the concept of respect, the idea of cooperation steady and get aware of differences between nations
• acquiring English to be ready in taking parts in science and technology in order to advance the country (Alrashidi & Phan, 2015)
Hence, Saudi market is saturated in terms of EL and in terms of English providers.
Labor market is so demanding and eager to compete by looking for equipped and very skillful ones.
However, before they compete, they usually deny fresh graduate students due the lack of experience whereas the Over Qualified people are also denied because of their super qualification.
Nevertheless, the alignment correlation between colleges and labor market is mutually vital if they both work hard to meet their requirements. Moreover, labor market has a tendency to foster skills precisely in technical fields.
Oxford English lexicon has added about 300 new words by June 2012. Plethora of factors contributes essentially such as cross-cultural online, scholarship, and Internet. Therefore, it is a prerequisite for many international vocational positions I.E. an asset in diplomacy, foreign relations, media, entertainment and financial globe. Loren Griffith declared that English has become the lingua franca of academy.
