I am interested in writing about Countries and their cultures. While I was watching this movie” Hundred Foot Journey”, I would like to translate my points of view in this article about my special feelings and perfect lessons.
The story is about an Indian family who transferred to France after a burning fire destroyed their restaurant in Mumbai. Also, children’s mother was murdered.
They lived in a small house in French countryside. I love to talk about nature, village, cottage, delicious cheese, fresh French bread, pure cow milk, and French dessert, which contain soft cream, red cherries, and delicate dough or pastry. Moreover, the weather is wonderful, fruits, and vegetables are mellow.
The small house was surrounded with a greenish beautiful garden and roses.
The family members were consisted of: Father, Hassan, Mansour, Moktar, and two sister.
Hassan was learned the cooking from his mother.
He and his family were trying to open an Indian restaurant.
They had some troubles with Madam” Malory”. She was the owner of one French restaurant “Soul Pleurae” in the same country yard. The reasons of these troubles were the culture differences.
Elegant French Cuisine’s etiquettes
I will mentioned some elegant French Cuisine’s etiquettes and tips, which are followed by French people in their life.
1- French people prefer small amount of meals.
2-They serve their food in small plates sequently and gradually.
3-their eating model is taking 30 minutes in eating the meal with enjoyment.
4-the chef or the cook is learning how to cook the meal with love, passion, and combination of the ingredients in heart and mind.
I am strongly advise myself and my readers to apply those healthy tips in our life style. Therefore, we will be fit, healthy, and in a good shape. Also, cooking is a skill we have to love what we cook and eat to live
After these points, I will refer to one part of the movie story:
Hassan has a good friendship with Miss Margret, She taught him how to learn the basic French cousin, and cooking the different kinds of sauces. French Sause contains tomato, cheese, some herbs. Also, Pashamile Sause, and Spanish Sause.
In addition, Olive oil is essential in French cuisine.
Hassan and Margret ridded bicycles around countryside while they were talking about cooking.
Thus, good benefits from riding a bicycle in anywhere such as “club, garden, or an appropriate gym” is enjoyable exercise.
Fairness, equity, and Brotherhood
After another fire burning which destroyed the Indian restaurant, Madam Malory decided to be supportive to the family and helped them for rebuilding the restaurant. Also, she taught Hassan how to do French Omlit.
The Ingredients of French Omlit as below:
Mushroom is essential
Little coconut oil in pan.
Process of cooking Omlit:
-Put the eggs in a bowel.
-Add some salt and little spices.
-Add the catted parsley.
-Add some milk.
-Stir all the ingredients together and pour them in the pan.
- Cook them in oven and add the onion slices and mushroom.
The secret of omlit is using a wooden spoon and touch it softly.
It will take almost 10 minutes.
Madam Malory taught Hassan the classical way of French cooking.
Even she struggled some issues with Hassan’s father, but she insisted to improve his talent. Hassan was trained by her and his work was well done.
He read many books to learn and practiced French dishes contained Carrot & vegetables. He cooked French soup, too.
He was smart guy and faster learner. He was the winner of 2 stars in France.
Gray Wales Restaurant: مطعم الحيتان الرمادية
It is a famous restaurant in Paris. It has a cook theory which is “a cook is a science not an art” its recopies depend on innovation. The chef Hassan was invited in this restaurant. This place is like a science lab or chemistry lab, restaurant staffs are using modern equipment and creative tools for cooking. Hassan created many different recipes which many critics mentioned good feedback about his innovative delicious recipes. Moreover, He used a special amounts of spices in sea food gradually. I will describe some beneficial points about French Style cooking.
The secret points in French cuisine are:
1- The amount of spices.
2- Fresh vegetables & fruits and how we plant them in a fertilized ground.
3- Organic food.
4- Sea food
5- Cooking with creativity
6- How to stir ingredients
7- Classic way and elegant tools of cooking.
8- Good partnership and group working
To sum up, the article mentioned the French cuisine and simple description of living in beautiful country side, how to enjoy eating food, and the natural life in France.
