With my friends, we talked about some important points to keep our brain healthier.
I believe that when we are doing something different and learning new things in life. We will improve our brain neuro system. For example, drawing, learning new language, reading our holy Qur’an, and exercises.
Moreover, I believe in meditation and music. They have important roles in increasing neural connections. Positive thinking and healthy food.
When I am writing or drawing, I will be in flow state. My mind will focus in something positive also I feel myself that I strength my feelings, emotions, and ideas, being so happy and getting joyful life.
One of my dreams in life is to learn Spanish language. I remember nice memories of Mexican movies.my mind keeps wonderful stories and beautiful events only.
That is why I love this language when I feel the music inside it also I remember my innocent childhood and its beauty. This is the flow state which I love.
Our aim in this article is to control our emotional state, too. If I will mention the
Amygdala, we will move to another mind state. Because talking about it is too interesting.
I will write some wonderful information about it. The amygdala (Latin, corpus amygdaloideum) is an almond-shape set of neurons located deep in the brain's medial temporal lobe.
Shown to play a key role in the processing of emotions, the amygdala forms part of the limbic system.
In humans and other animals, this subcortical brain structure is linked to both fear responses and pleasure.
Its size is positively correlated with aggressive behavior across species.
In humans, it is the most sexually-dimorphic brain structure, and shrinks by more than 30% in males upon castration.
Conditions such as anxiety, autism, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and phobias are suspected of being linked to abnormal functioning of the amygdala, owing to damage, developmental problems, or neurotransmitter imbalance.
I refer to one story I have read it in emotional intelligence book by Daniel Jolman.
The story is about one thief has stolen many houses in his life. Thus, he intended to control his behaviors and not steal again. The last house he entered, he committed two crimes and killed two ladies.
He lost his timber, he has Nervous explosions state in his brain. Therefore, he could not control his behavior and emotions. These Nervous explosions happened in Amygdala which is one of the important brain centers “. (Limbic Brain)
I remember our prophet Mohammed peace be about him when he said “Do not be angry. This Hadith proved that we have to control our emotions and always plant good ideas in our brain. We try to read positive sentences and books. Also, we try to read or memories some verses of holy Quran, we will grant good and strengths our brain regions. Moreover, by meditation, listening to music, reading, and drawing, learning a second language, and exercises or walking. We are helping our brain to be healthy and strong for many years.
On the other hand, not all the emotions in the Amygdala are negative. Sometimes we lough loudly when we hear nice joke or being extremely happy when we have good news.
We have train our Amygdala and acquire healthy habits in our life.

Before I explain this concept, I want to know the secret of why we are losing our emotional control. I will mention a story about this brain state.
There was one lady came to meet her boyfriend in Boston. She drove for 2 hours. They ate their lunch in a restaurant and he gave her a nice Spanish gift. She was happy to get it from him because she wanted to buy this land scape since a long time. After a while, she asked him to accompany her to see a movie. He apologized from her, because he has an exercise class ((Softball)).
She got angry and she felt that he hurt her feelings, she threw his gift in the garbage and left him.
After a couple of months, she regretted for her behaviors.
From this story, I admire that sometimes we have the same reaction. I was searching for the reason for that thing. Every message from our senses boosts the amygdala for taking a quick and urgent action or response “fight or flight”. That is the amygdala is central guard in the brain. Many questions are provided in our thinking. “Am I in danger?” what is my fear?
If the answer is yes as we think, a Nervous discharge will happen in the amygdala which sends negative messages for all brain parts and assumes that is a crises.
Also, Amygdala will activate cardiovascular system, muscles, and Gut.
Moreover, Amygdala will send other Brain circuits to “Norepinephrine”.
Especially brain regions which activate feelings and let brain response in negative way and increased anger level. Also, Amygdala sends additional signals to brainstem. Thus, there are many consequences according to these signals:
1-Increasing heart beats
2-High blood pressure
3- Slow breathing
Some signals drive to fear source. Muscles are ready for any reaction for fear or panic. This is what happens before any logical thinking will happen in cortical memory system. All of these changes happens by amygdala.
